La Prudencia family business established in 1910 and produce Iberian products using traditional and artisanal methods. We are proud to have 100% traceability and a fully integrated system, we take care of the whole process from farming of the pigs, the elaboration and production of the quality products.
Iberian and Serrano pigs are free range and grow up in our own farms in Extremadura, Spain. They are free to roam around one hectare and feed 100% on acorn during the season eating 9kg of acorn daily.
We take care as well of the slaughter of our pigs on our own facilities, based on strict high- quality standards we cure and mature our hams, using only sea salt during the curation. Every step is handmade and each ham is unique and extraordinary.
Iberian products «Pata negra» From acorn-fed Iberian pigs, eating up of 9 Kg of acorn per day. Raised in liberty in Extremadura until they reach180 Kg, the ideal weight. Hams are cleaned from fat, salted and cured for up to 48 months.
Gran reserva products from white pigs of races Duroc and Landrace, feeding on natural cereals until they get a minimum weigh of 150 Kgs. Unique hams, fatty and sweet with 24 to 30 months of curation in natural drying facilities located in Sierra de Campo Azálvaro.
